Why Magnus?
In choosing a name we were looking for something that was memorable and related to the industry we serve. The hard part was where to begin, so research was conducted and it was revealed that the patron saint of scientists is Albertus Magnus. Perfect. With the foundation of the name chosen, it was time to carve out our identity. Being that the full name is already in use by other businesses, we decided to look into the meanings of each portion. Albertus, it turns out is mainly used as a personal name and means “Noble, Bright and Famous”, whereas Magnus , translated from Latin meaning “Great”, is not only used as a personal name, but is used in the scientific name of many medicines. Therefore, after careful consideration, the name Magnus Lab Planning/Design was born.
